No decision after 12 weeks waiting!!! What to do???

Helllo guys, i have applied for a student visa 12 weeks ago and they still did not issued any decision. 1 week after giving the biometrics they requested again the biometrics, and was very strange. Anyone have ever had such a situation?? I understad that is summer and VO are getting vacations but 12 weeks it's a very long time. Any suggestions how to proceed?? My lawyer has contacted the Cic my not any response from them.

Any senior can advise me regarding my situation? My VO is Rome and according to the website their processing time is 3 weeks.

There's nothing you can do but wait. It's actually not unusual for processing to take a few months. This has happened to many people on this forum.

Thank you for reply Scylla. This is the second time i applied for the visa. The first time they reached a decision within 1 week. I was refused and my school in Canada decided to apply on my behalf. Now its 12 weeks without decision. The lawyer is preparing to file a case i the Federal Court of Canada for my situation and i fear this will take much longer.

Whoa !! 12 weeks for a 3 week VISA . Shoot out a mail to your visa office . Same thing happened to me in India . Due to some technical difficulties , They had forgotten to issue my VISA and just kept it at Hold . I was approved in 4 days after filing my application but they couldn't give it to me due to some difficulty . The best thing to do right now is to send out a mail .

My lawyer already sent them a mail almost 4 weeks ago but they still did not reply. I don't know what the hell is going on. According to my lawyer next week he will file a case at Federal Court of Canada but i think it will take much more time. I don't know what to do at this point. I am just waiting a positive answer from the court. Hopefully!!!!

Federal Court will take months.

If your lawyer is suggesting filing a case with the Federal Court as a reaction to your application processing taking too long - I would consider finding another lawyer.

What do your notes say? Has your lawyer ordered them?

I think he did not order the notes, but i am not sure. According to him it will take 2 weeks after filling the case to get an innitial response from the court.

Why dont you just Cancel or Revoke this aapplication and send a new one !
