why would you want to scan notarized copies or ony kind of copies if you have already scanned the original documents?
you need to scan: original documents and original translated documents.
that is all
I'll try to clarify. My concerns are that I had a notarized translation (certified copy of the original + the translation numbered and sealed together). However, I only scanned the translation out of each document, but not the copy, because the .pdf was already huge. So I scanned incomplete documentation

Seems like a mistake to me.
I can't even hide the fact that I scanned the document selectively, because of the inscription on the seal (
numbered and sealed on, say,
6 pages. Out of which 4 are the scanned translation, whereas 2 are the non-scanned copy).
Besides, they say so themselves: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=018&t=4.
