Dear Members

Is there any maximum/minimum time for CIC London to respond to confirm Acknowledgment of receipt for documents that i have sent in first week of April 2009, till now nothing has been mailed by CIC london, however my fellow colleague who have sent these documents in 3rd week of april have got AOR last time and i am still waiting.

However when i checked the status online it states the following

Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete
Received_by Visa Office

I am worried why i haven't received any mail yet.

Any suggestion or advice

I am in the same boat.

I submitted my documents to CHC-Islamabad in last week of April, and so far no AOR from them. The courier company has confirmed the delivery of the documents, but no reply from CHC. Lets see if I get anything next week.

same with me, checked with ECAS and it says "documents received by visa office" but i haven't received a new AOR. If you can still use your sydney B# i think they wont be sending us a new AOR and go ahead to review our files.

Not sure, because few members have reported seeing two B# one from Sydney and other from Local CHC. In my opinion Local CHC should send an AOR as soon as possible to give comfort to applicant that they have received the package. Now about 60 days have elapsed since the letter from Sydney and if they need any additional documents, I will have only 60 more days.

domingo,
i've been wondering if they open our files and review the documents as soon as they receive it as per OP instructions or they wait for the 120 days to end before they review our files.

nobody knows. i can only guess that it depends on the IO handling your file.
if you are lucky enough and your file goes to a fast and sympathetic IO your file will move faster.
if you are unlucky, your file will fall to a either a lazy or slow IO.
i have read in other forums that you can get the initials of the IO from CAIPS.
the member then shared the initials of the IO handling their files and counted the applications approved under different initials. application under some IOs are moving faster than others.

I applied to london office also I sent my application on 21 April 2009 and I just received my AOR yesterday, so it takes almost one month. The best idea is to write a letter and put it in the paid envelop so they can reply you. This is only the case that you can get their reply and you can use your previous file number (CIU) as a reference number. By the way , which service you used to send yor applcation, Postoffoce (special delivery), DHL, Fedex, ..etc. You can track the delivery status to be in the safe site.

Also I tried to use my new number it does not work , I do not know why?

Good Luck.

I have also heard nothing from CHC,Isb neither my Ecas has been updated yet, still showing CIO Review complete. Its the youghest part of this whole process,u dont know whats going happen with your application and with that all this waiting period just starts killing you,at the moment seeing nothing at the end of this immigration tunnel. Also having seen some rejections from CHC,Isb,I have developed on/off abdominal pain with raised pulse and BP :)

One of my friend who has links in CHC-Islamabad informed that they are short on staff and thinking of moving to Abu Dhabi due to security concern.

I am not sure about the authenticity of this news, and would like others to share if anyone has any news relating to this.
