Next steps after Passport request

I have recently sent in my passport after i recieved the ready for visa email. Was wondering about next steps, how long does it take in Ottawa to get approved and resend the passport. Would we know some how if they would’ve given for printing..? Is there a status like that..?

If you keep checking your CIC account, you will see it change to approved at some point and the immigrant visa details will also be mentioned. It gets printed and dispatched within a few days after that.

Thanks Lampbreaker. How long has it been taking these days for the approval to reflect on the account in CIC. It has only been 2 days since I sent the passport but just a little anxious about it.
