Hi everyone. I submitted my husbands sponsorship application on April 1st 2019. 5 days ago I finally received a confirmation email stating that my application has been received. Along with this email I also got my UCI number and Application Number. What is the next step for me? Does this email have anything to do with the biometrics letter which I am still waiting for? How long for the biometrics letter once I have received this confirmation? Thanks in advance

You can register online. This is a long process. There are long breaks between things. Keep an eye out for any emails and make sure they don’t end up in your spam.

When does the biometric step come along? It’s after I received this confirmation right ?

Thank you for this. Although I am a bit confused still. According to that forum biometrics letter is still a far away step. But from what I’ve heard the biometrics letter should have been the first step before anything else because according to the cic website, the sponsorship process does not begin until biometrics are completed. I’ve been waiting to receive a biometrics letter because I assumed that was the first step before anything else. Sorry this is all so confusing because everyone is giving different steps

No.

As it says in the link I provided, biometrics are normally requested around or after sponsor approval.

Have a look in some of the monthly threads, people share their timelines in there and should give you an idea what to expect. Of course, always remember that no two people will have the same timeline, but it's good for a point of reference!

Hello! My husband and I applied for spousal sponsorship last April 2019, medical and biometrics was done already and had an interview last Nov. 2019... Any idea how long will it take for the IRCC to send reply for the decision? Thank you!

One you've had a interview - assuming it was a relationship interview - you are no longer a standard application case and timelines no longer apply. It could be any length of time for action.
