Hi,

Sorry if I disappoint you, but it is a very high expectation to manage tuition and living expenses by doing part-time jobs. You should have adequate funds to cover your tuition fees and living expenses (at least the tuition fees and living expenses for the first year).

Prior to that, you can not work with a student visa unless you get a work permit (which you can apply for after completing the first semester of your course i.e 6 months). Working illegally can be a serious offense and your student visa may be cancelled and you would be asked to leave canada if you are caught doing so. That even lead you receive a ban of 2 years to enter Canada.

In addition, i would like to inform you an update from a friend from Canada:

The current odd job rates (rate in bars, coffee/pastry/fast food shops) are not more than 15-20 CAD per hour max. You can calculate yourself, how much you can earn to support your living and tuition while you can work only for limited hours (3/4 hours a day).

But I believe things would be easier for one who can arrange the first year's expenses, manage to get a work permit after the first semester, work full time during summer break.

Wish you all the best....
