New to Canada Immigration

Hi All,

I am new to Canada Immigration, and could really use an answer specific to my case..
I am 30 year old IT professional residing in US with my H1B.
I am married and my wife is with me here in US, with all these Trump issues, I want to migrate to Canada for peace of mind.

I have given my IELTS general - R 9, L 8.5, W 7 and S 7.5
Also I have got my WES evaluated as 4 year Canadian equivalent. My Wife has also given IELTS and WES done.

I have created my CIC profile and my Score is 425.I know this score is not sufficient.
So, I need to know what should I do to get Canadian PR. I havent got any letter or invitaiton for OINP or from anyother state.

Can somebody please briefly guide me , what should I do??

I'm relatively new as well and don't have any specific expertise, but I will say that the scores have been dropping RAPIDLY so there's a good chance you could get an ITA within the next few months on a score of 425 without doing anything. Do you have a profile up in the express entry pool? I would do that right away, if you haven't!

The next idea is to try to get a job offer, which should put you over the edge. Are you in the job bank?

(BTW, we are in the US and getting out as well! And my husband is a network engineer!)

with 425, I think you will get an Invitation in the last draw of this month, just make sure you have your EE profile updated with job bank accepted, and hope for the best.

No harm in entering the pool. If the current trend continues you can get ITA soon but nobody can predict.

I have alraedy created a profile in CRS system and registered with JOB bank.
But I have not received the OINP ITA. My profile is old one which I created in Nov and then never changed,
Do I need to create a new one , if so should I delete my old profile first or there can be more than one profile.

I would say wait until next Wednesday, if you don't get an invitation then recreate your profile hoping for OINP. Yes you would need to delete the old one!

A pain in the ass but improve IELTS

Same boat as me

You get IELTS full marks and you're in on any draw this year.

After this Wednesday draw you'll have a much better idea if you are getting in before the end of April.

Points drops are going to slow in my opinion from what I've researched, probably 3/4 points most this drop and will continue to slow.

I have observed that sometimes OINP notification is received after recreating the profile. No harm in trying.
