hello everyone

last year i applied for the Masters program in canada and got visa but i got ivsa almost a month later than my classes but i went to canada and there i did my one semseter..at the end of the semster my results were not satisfactory, so i withdrew from the university...There were also some issues with the courses (that university did not offer the courses of my interest).....so the director of my program also issued me the letter that indicated that my results were not satisifactory because i arrived almost a month late for the classes and also that some courses issues that were not related to my previous field of study...ok now i am in Pakistan once again

now i am looking forward to apply in other universities in canada and hopefully i will get admitted...my study permit is valid upto december 2011, so the question is, does it better to apply for a new study permit in Pkaistan ? or i have to come again to canada at the time of studies and then i apply for the extension of my study permit ?

please do reply, thanks

Re: student visa rejected, will apply again,,,good idea?

You can apply from both inside canada and from your home country pakistan. The main problem i see is that you may have a problem of re-entry. Holding a valid travel document, visa and study permit does not guarantee re-entry. A smart i.o. At the post of entry will ask: "what is the purpose of your visit?" How are you going to answer this question? If you tell the truth than a smart i.o. playing by the book will refuse you entry. If you lie and say you have come to continue yous studies the i.o. may enquire about your course and why you have been absent from your course for such a long period etc etc. A note of your answers will be made. When coming to apply for an extension in canada your reason for extension will be compared to the reason you gave for your re-entry. My advice apply from pakistan and dont risk spoiling your travel history with a entry or permit refusal.

When you apply for an extension yes you will have a new letter of acceptance. This does not distract from the fact the reason you gave for your re-entry does not match the reason you give for study visa extension. The two explanations need to match any discrepancy will be a reason for refusal.

Tell me when you re-enter canada with your current documents how are you going to answer the question at the port of entry from the i.o. "what is the reason for your visit?"

When did you get the new letter of acceptance? Were you in canada when you recieved the new letter of acceptance?
