hi guys
I have a question if anyone has any information ?
the new study permit rule says

" A study permit becomes invalid 90 days following the completion of studies unless the foreign national also possesses a valid work permit or another authorization to remain in Canada"

and also you have continue to pursue your studies ?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2014-02-12.asp

but how would they know that you have completed your study ? or how would they know you are not in school?

is there anyone or do you know someone who is staying in Canada with study permit but now actually studying in school?
thanks you guys

colleges/universities r required to provide CIC with regular updates on students progress. Also if u wish to apply for PGWP u will need a degree ceert or transcript or letter from college which will have a date on it .
"As of June 1, 2014, all study permit holders in Canada will need to actively pursue studies. This means that:

if you hold a study permit, you must remain enrolled and make reasonable and timely progress towards completing your program; and
failing to do so could lead to your removal from Canada.

Your educational institution will report to CIC on your continued enrolment and academic status. You may also be asked by an immigration officer to provide evidence of your continued enrolment and academic status."
