Hello people,

I have a question and I really appreciate your help.

1-Can I apply for a study permit visa online whiten Canada or should I travel back to my country to apply because I read at the immigration website that you cannot apply for a study permit whiten Canada

2-Can I have two people sponsoring me? my husband is a Canadian citizen and his taxes declaration shows 77.000, The second sponsor is my sister and she shows a bank draft for 55.000. ?

3-do my sponsors have to show bank statements as well?

Thank you very much

1. That's quite true especially if you are on a visitor's visa

2. Not sure if you are allowed to have sponsors within Canada. I have seen people show proof of funds from back home, but get their relatives here to pay their tuition when they come over. Remember you always have to show home (country) ties. They might want you to show your proof of funds from back home just in case your sponsors in Canada abandon you, but this is your husband so not sure what difference it makes.

Perhaps your husband can just sponsor your P.R paper work while you remain as a visitor and when you get your P.R you pay only 1/3 of what international students pay. Not sure if that's an option you are considering.

3. Your sponsors always have to present an official bank statement.

Am not an expert Sallly70 and could be wrong, so see what others on this forum have to say.

Thank you very much for your detailed answer. I am still not sure if I can apply within Canada though. The VAC in los angels replies to me that I can but another staff said that I cannot :-\

If you are on a visitor status in Canada;

1. You can apply inside only if you have completed a short term course (for instance ESL course) that is a 'prerequisite' for your admission.
2. If not, then VAC at Los Angeles or from your home country.
