New Rule June 2010: How to determine the current number of applicants per NOC

As there is a 1000 limit per NOC now/ year, how would you know if the limit for the particular NOC is reached already or if it is still available? When will they start counting? From June 2010? What will happen if you have submitted your application not knowing that the limit is already exhausted? Will they keep it till they open again the following year or what?

They say there that the first application year will start on June 26th 2010 and go until June 30th 2011 and after that will be from July 1st until June 30th the following year.

They say that once the cap is reached, they will return your application and let you know that your application will not be processed. You would then have the option of trying again on July 1st next year or applying with an AEO.

I do not know if they will publish on their website for which NOC's the cap has already been reached to save people under that NOC the trouble of applying.

Hi! true, I am finished with it and already have my visa, but many of my friends are just about to start their application. They are now in a limbo and having second thoughts whether to submit now or not because they have no idea what the quota status is now for their NOCs.
