Harper Government announces reforms to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program - reforms could be found in HRSDC web page (unfortunately, I'm not able to post a direct link here).
Is there anybody who knows about these news more detailed information - specially about cancellation of possibility to pay foreign worker up to 15% less than prevailing wage if employer pays those 15% less to other employees working in the same position in the company?
My husband's employer has applied for LMO (high skilled position) about 3 weeks ago and they have stated in the application that the salary for my husband will be within 15% less than prevailing wage because that's the salary they are paying to employees in the company. I am wondering, will the new changes be effective only for those applications HRSDC will be receiving after yesterday or also for those received earlier but not yet processed till decision?
