The government has announced today that there is a new public policy in place to help international students/graduates who are currently working to apply for permanent residence. This is because the number of PRs in the past year is a far cry from the quota the government had previously announced. From my understanding, you don't have to have worked for 12 months but it seems you have to be working in any one of the eligible NOCs listed at the end of the page.

The link below provides more information of this:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ic-policies/trpr-international-graduates.html

It comes into effect on May 6th until Nov. 5th, 2021 OR until the 40,000 applications have been received. So if you are eligible, act fast! Good luck!

EDIT: looks like international students/graduates don’t necessarily need to work in those specific NOCS

Hello!
I wonder, if somebody on study permit can apply for these public policy PR pathways?
I have essential work experience since October 2019 and I have worked full time during my semester break & during pandemic from April to September 2020. I have 1560 hours completed by now. Can someone clear my doubt, if i will be eligible to apply for these pathways? I am still on study permit.

Please n thank you!
