Hi everyone,

I have a question. I apologise in advance if someone already ask but couldn't find an answer anywhere.
We launched our first PR application in July 2016 but has been cancelled in August by lack of documents. We created a new profile and just get a new ITA. We're now uploading all the documents. Do we have to get new dated documents/up to date or the ones used for the first application are still valid i.e. letter of employment, proof of funds, common law relationships etc

If someone can help us please, can't find the answer on the CIC website.

Thanks all !

Pauline

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1 - Reference letter - no for previous jobs, for the current one I would get one.
2 - Proof of funds - yes, definitely get a new bank letter.
3 - Medical - it has to have at least 6 months of validity from the date you submit your eAPR.
4 - PCC - if it has expired.

Cheers ;)

I don't think there is any 6 months requirement., medicals should be valid when you submit your application.
please see below link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp
they clearly said "The medical examination confirmation is required up front and must be valid at the time of application."

But under the validity tab about the medical exam it says:

'Your medical exam results are valid for 12 months only. If you do not come to Canada as a permanent resident within that time, you may need to have another exam.'

Thanks guys !

ok we should be fine for medical.

Also I've seen that some laws changed recently. When we get our ITA (first and second ones) we did get 600 points for a LMIA but now apparently the LMIA only worth 50 points but because we got the ITA before the change, can we still get 600 points for it when we will send our application completed ?

I'm kind of confuse with these changes.
Hope someone get an answer.

Thanks a lot for the help

Pauline

Yes, if you got the ITA before Nov 19 (when the changes were implemented), then your application will be processed under the rules in place at the time - under the old rules - meaning you still have the 600 points.

It has to do with landing. The CoPR expiry date is the same as the date when the medical expires (or the date in which your passport expires whichever comes first).

By doing the medical at the latest possible time before submitting eAPR it will give an applicant more time to land.

the best way is to hire a lawyer to do documents review. maybe only cost couple hundred,
because anything can happen with this stage. and since your first time got rejected by lack of docs.
so be careful to review everything .
I have the same situation as you, I got rejected the first time with lack of docs.
now I have lawyer to review my docs and also reading lots forums. make sure everything is good to go

Hi ,

Yes we thought about taking a lawyer for this time to review our documents but living in Whistler BC, everything so expensive. We went to a couple for a quote and they ask over $2500 even if all the work has been done so can't do it ! we already spent a lot to get us to stay here for the last 2 years and we have a baby on the way.
we only have 8 days left to summit our documents but don't get answers from australian bank or australian government, and if we refused the invitation we won't get the points with the LMIA since the new changes next time we apply. I think they want us to give up !

Cheers to all for the infos

If you don't have the Australia information on time:

- Bank. Write a explanation letter, include copy of communications with bank (email,fax..). Include online statements and anything you can get

- Government. Add another explanation letter, with copy of your request (I guess is PCC). Include any document that could help

Thanks to everyone for your help,
Only 7 days for us left so now it's time to write down all those letters of explanation.
Hoping they won't take that for missing information !

Cheers, Pauline
