As many of you know CIC made an update in the POF page:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
In the previous version, it was mentioned that unless you have a valid job offer and authorized to work in Canada OR you qualify under CEC, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.
In the new version they changed "qualify under Canadian Experience Class" to
"invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class"
This means many of us who qualify for both CEC and FSW but got invited under FSW, are in a bad situation now.
First question is, if we got ITA under the previous regulation, but still did not apply, what regulation is valid for us?
The second and more important thing is that in the same page, CIC mentioned:
"you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada."
It feels this applies to people who are outside Canada not inland applicants.
Further problem in the page is that, in the middle of page, as a conclusion it is mentioned
"You do not have to show that you have these funds if:
you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
you are currently working or authorized to work in Canada."
As you can see in the conclusion they forgot to include CEC.
Another point is that the software behind the EE profiles made many inland applicants eligible for FSW while we entered funds below the minimum requirement and also mentioned no to LMIA. Which means either the software is totally wrong or there are other regulations that are not reflected in the fund page in CIC website. OR as I suspect, judging from the clear logical errors in this page, the person(s) maintaining this page really don't care much to keep in really coherent and up to date.
Your thoughts on this is appreciated as it is a problem for many of us.
