Hi,
I'm getting married in August and will be flying to Vancouver the next day for the honeymoon (From the UK, we're both British Citizens). We have already booked the tickets (there was no information available about ETA when we booked), and have booked my fiancee's ticket in her new married name, as we can apply for a passport in your married name up to three months in advance of the wedding in the UK.
The passport will be post dated for wedding day, when she will change her name, and therefore valid from 13th August.
I don't want to risk waiting until the new passport is valid in order to apply for the ETA in case there is a problem.
Can we apply for an ETA based on a passport that is not yet valid?
Many Thanks
