New Passport, Old Visa

Hi everyone,

Due to insufficient pages in my passport from entry and exit stamps. I had to renew my passport which is not expired.

Having 4 years left on my multiple entry visa.

I wanted to seek advice whether I needed to apply for visa transfer or would I be able to travel with both passport documents on hand when I decide to visit Canada again.

I was told I was able to carry old passport, however having not done this before. I wanted to confirm with the experienced.

Thanks for clarifying, as I will be visiting Canada in the spring time so I was abit worried.

I was told from friends here, that I would need to transfer visa. They have never been to Canada.

Transferring the visa is not required. Traveling with both passports is perfectly acceptable.

Is it acceptable to travel even if there a cancellation stamp on old passport after issuance of new passport?
