Hi,
I am from a visa exempt country (I am from the EU) and will be getting a new passport in the new year. I have entered multiple times with my eTA as visitor with my previous passport. Next time I enter, I will have my new passport (and new eTA) and I want to enter as a visitor, but also I will likely apply for spousal sponsorship once I am in.
The likelyhood that the CBSA border officer will ask me any question (apart from reason for visit: visit my in-laws/holiday, and durantion of stay: 15 days) is very low as that what they have always asked me.
My question is, when I show my new passport to the border officer, will they be able to see my previous travel history to Canada? This would show that I enter and left many times and I have never overstayed, which would make it even less likely they will ask me any unusual question.
