New passport after "Ready for Visa / Prêt pour Visa" email

Hello guys,

I got my "Ready for Visa / Prêt pour Visa" email yesterday. Because my passport will expire in about a year from now, I was thinking maybe it would be good if i got a new one before I leave my country.

Do you know if changing passport at this point will cause any issues or can I go ahead?

Also, the letter says:

Once you have arranged the pre-paid pick-up with the commercial courier service, the commercial courier company must contact our section by e-mail (vienn-visa@international.gc.ca) in order to organize the pick-up of your envelope.

I just called every courier company I know of and none of them will schedule a pickup date by e-mail. What do I do? ??? I asked the VO but the auto-response said that it can take them a month to respond - that is too long as I only have 30 days. Calling them is pretty much impossible.
