Hi All,

I need your help on following:

Me and my spouse landed in Canada in the year 2014 and got PR cards. We returned back to India after some time. After coming back to India we are bless with a baby girl (now 1.5 years old).

Now I am planning to go back to Canada.

My question are:

1. As right now I am in India, so can I apply my new born baby PR/sponsorship from India or I have to returned back to Canada for apply new born baby PR?

2. Please send me the application link for ready reference.

3. How much time it will take approx. to get new born baby PR.

4. If I can apply my baby PR from Canada stay only, then should I apply immediately after reaching to Canada or 1st I should work in Canada sometimes then apply.

Please suggest.

1. Since both of you are PRs, one of you have to be residing in Canada in order to sponsor your newborn for PR.

2. Don't have the link yet.

3. I cannot say how long it takes to sponsor a dependent for PR.

4. You can apply for dependent PR as soon as you are in Canada. Income requirements are not needed to qualify for dependent PR but you need to show that you can support your child with resorting to welfare. So having an job does help convince CIC you won't go on social assistance.
