Rumours are largely from people just HOPING their occupation makes it onto the list. I doubt any of those comes from any kind of official source.

I don't think anybody, including immigration consultants who may tell you otherwise, will know what the new list will be until they actually publish it on 30th June/1st July. So until then nothing to do but wait it out for another 3 weeks or so!

To avoid a situation of an "MI-3" taking precedence over MI-1 & MI-2 they may just continue with the existing list & maybe add/delete one or two NOC's. (This MI-1 & MI-2 has come in for lot of criticism wrt the priorities being given & they would not want another backlog!)

A 1000 applications & then some rejections in these too are not enough to satisfy their current labor market needs. So they may infact increase the list to include more NOC's since they could not even complete 13000 applications to process. They may keep an overall cap of 20,000 but have more NOC's to meet the quota.

hello everybody. I just arrived from an out-of-town trip and got a call from my agent after emailing her 3x.
Our packet was returned.
CIO CC the card twice, May 17 and another one May 20. Card was declined, insufficient fund

It was the agent's idea to use her credit card. and now this.

I requested her to send me the scanned copy of the letter CIO sent.

Here is an excerpt:

Regulation 12 of the Immigration and Refuge Regulations states that if certain requirements are not met, the application and all documents submitted in support of the application shall be returned to the applicant. A review of your application indicates your submissions fails to meet these requirements for the following reason:

The credit card payment declined.

All of your application forms and documents are being returned to you. Your application fee was not processed and is also being returned to you. No record of your application has been retained by this office. Should you choose to resubmit your application, please include this letter and the attached appendices with your application.

Upon seeing the scanned letter, I blamed myself for trusting their advise to use their credit card. We were supposed to used BD with our own trusted bank. Funny, I even called her and sent her email to inform her bank ahead of time that an international transaction is expected. To prevent occurrence such as this.
She assured me that her previous transaction with her client using her credit card turned out ok. :

I guess I will have to wait for the July list. :'(

I just hope NOC3113 will still be in.

Isidra, if I were you dont use agent/consultant when you apply for the second time... theres no advantage having them as per qorax they are just your courier & typist & sometimes reason of delays of your application like what happened to your first application. They charge their client huge amt & sometimes more than the application fee & RPRF.

This forum will help you & answer your queries... just spend time reading the site of CIC & not to mention you already filled up an application form so you are now ready to go for the new list of NOC

My application was also returned with a similar kind of letter attached to it, although my application happened to be prior June 2010. I have since re-applied but I have lost about 3 months in between. Nothing much I can do there.

I used my own credit card and did not use an immigration consultant.

Month of July, 2011 is of critical importance. CIC expected to announce changes in the pass-mark that will better serve their demographics and job market needs. Canada will also come out with the new occupation list. Some indications of proposed changes:

* 1) Applicants aged below 35 years may be preferred in Canada while others may still qualify against adaptability factors;

* 2) Canada may also introduce minimum IELTS language requirements;

* 3) Education and English language norms may be made more flexible for trades person in Canada;

My understanding is that CIC are NOT proposing to change the pass mark (that will still be 67 points), but they are changing the points matrix in line with those you've highlighted above.

There may or may not be a new "list", CIC have not yet confirmed or even hinted at which occupations, if any, will change. The current list has only been only for 1 year so it is probable that any changes will be minimal.

But we'll have to wait until early July to know for sure.
