New Employer Work Permit

So as I understand, if you are presently in Canada with a work permit an LMO is no longer required to renew the work permit.

If I were to get a job offer from a different employer, would this also apply (no need for LMO) or would it require that the new employer get the LMO?

New employer = new LMO + new work permit.

You also need a new LMO if you want to extend your work permit with your existing employer.
