NEW DELHI VS OTTAWA

All inland application are usually sent to Ottawa ..so even u put New Delhi most likely it they will transfer to Ottawa .

A friend of mine who was in Canada sent hers to Japan (her home country) and it was processed there. If you plan to be here for a while I would suggest using Ottawa since document flow is easier.

Ottawa is really slow these days because of huge number of applicants and transfer of files from buffalo, so i thought delhi would be better for me. hoping to get it transfer to new Delhi.

Hello Jagga,

I am in a similar situation as you. Can you please guide me how can I change my VO from CPP-O to New Delhi? My pnp nomination says CPP-O as I am here in Canada.. I am yet to file my CIC. I want to do this mainly because of the processing time. Do you foresee any challenge in having New Delhi as VO considering that I would be residing here in Canada.

Thanks Gaurav! I am not sure but do we need to attend a final interview for PNP nominated PR ? Just thinking if this is the case then i will have to travel back to India from Canada if m VO is Delhi. I would surely like to have Delhi as by VO since it is fast and I am eligible to have it but at the same time thinking of what can be the negatives..

Hi Guys,

I was hoping someone could help me with some information on how the inland applications work.

I had received my CSQ from Montreal when I was working there, but I had selected my VO to be New Delhi when I had submitted my federal application. However, I got my medical request from CPP-O in June, 2012 and I have a feeling that it is still being processed there as the 9 month processing time for New Delhi is over and my ecas status says "Application Received" with "Your application was received on april 23rd, 2012. Medical Results have been received"

Do you guys know how long CPP-O takes to transfer the files to the corresponding VO? Or do they just process it in CPP-O itself?

I am working in Regina on PGWP and last week I sent my application to Sydney and I selected New Delhi as VO. Hope things turn out better in New Delhi compared to Ottawa as Ottawa will be working on Buffalo files for next 6 months.

I believe that CIO cant force us to chose Ottawa as our default VO.

I'm from the Philippines..I'm worried because my vo is CPP-OTTAWA i recvd my MR from them last nov 9,2012 and my ecas was updated into medical recvd last dec 27,2012..til now there is no update.. I don't know why CIO forwarded my appliction to OTTAWA although my requested vo is here in the MANILA,PHILIPPINES.. my sponsor who live in Manitoba, Canada was the one who send my application to NS-CIO is this the reason why my VO is CPP-O? Can I still request CIO to change my vo? how can i do that? please help me.. thank you!!

Doesn't really matter whatever you write, I know my friend who wrote New Delhi for quick process they were forcefully sent to Ottawa from Sydney! No choice baby!
