Hello Members,
My Situation:
In-land Family sponsored PR application along with Spousal Open Work Permit Extension Application as per Spousal Open Work Permit Pilot Program,
submitted in the same envelope in JAN 2021 to Mississauga, ON.
Current Spousal Open Work Permit expired in FEB 2021.
My Question:
I am assuming I am on Open Work Permit Implied Status.
I found on IRCC website that Due to a temporary public policy about COVID-19,
"On implied status, work permit applicants don’t need to wait until their work permit application is approved
to start their new job or work for a new employer. They just need an email from IRCC that says they have permission to change jobs.
And as always, open work permit holders can change employers at any time."

1. As I did not work yet in Canada till now since my arrival, Can I start working for a job while I am on my Open Work Permit implied status now,
if I receive a job offer? - As per the new temporary public policy about COVID-19.
2. Do I need any permission email from IRCC to start working for a job now? Because I held an Open Work Permit
which has already been submitted for an extension, I should not need any permission email from IRCC and according to
the new temporary CONVID-19 Public Policy I should be able to change my job or employer any time? is not so?
Please let me know my understanding is right or not.
I have these confusion as in those articles I did not find a clear sentence saying that "Open Work Permit implied status applicants can start working for new job or new employer without IRCC permission email" - as per the new temporary public policy about COVID-19.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Neev.
