Hi,
I am Canadian citizen currently working in US. I mailed my wife's application package for sponsorship to CPC Mississauga which was delivered on June 25th. On July 10th i was blessed with new born and i am not sure how to contact CPC to update them with my child.
Not sure if anyone passed through similar case.

Thanks
Amad Babar.

is the child a canadian citizen? if so, all you need to do is apply for a citizenship certificate, and you don't have to notify CIC since the child will not need to be sponosored to live in canada. whether the child is a canadian citizen depends on whether you were born in Canada yourself, if you obtained citizenship through immigration or parental descent.

If the child is NOT canadian, then he/she needs to be added to the application, and CIC WILL need to be notified.

Yes you should send the visa office an updated IMM5406 form, which will list your new baby as "additional family member". http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5406E.pdf

Or just send them a case specific email telling them about the new family member, and see if they request it.

the child is a canadian citizen and it is my understanding it will not be listed on the COPR because it will not need to be sponsored to be in canada.

Well my understanding is that whether the child is Canadian citizen or not, still i will need to update my file to reflect upto date info.

Let me email them and see what do they respond.

Right, child will not be listed on COPR.
However they should be included in Additional Family Info sheet, since that one specifies ALL children must be listed regardless of citizenship. It should be a very simple matter to fill this in and scan/email it to the VO if they want it. They may not even care.

As Rob have mentioned, I would rather complete the family form again with the newborn added, sign it and send it in to CIC. You could also scan the signed updated form and have it sent by email as well. This way you have a copy of it yourself. Even though the newborn is Canadian, you don't want to give CIC any reason to believe you were misrepresenting yourself by not declaring all children before landing.
