New Application system and processing times

Hi guys, i applied to sponsor my wife, who is from a Pakistani citizen and i am Canadian. I have a delivery confirmation from Canada post that says they received my application January 5, 2017. But i have not received an email confirming that they have received it or started processing it. I know its a little early but i read on this website that it take 7 to 10 days for cic to send email confirming delivery of package. Im just worried that maybe Canada post delivered it wrong or maybe cic sent the application back to me but wither way It would be nice to know that what is going on. I sent the application to cic Mississauga.

Also can i link my account online using my(sponsor) uci number? as i have not received anything from cic yet so i don't see any other way. Please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could let me know as soon as possible as i am going crazy thinking about it all and stressing.

Try to relax a bit

From receipt at CPC Mississauga to acknowledgement of receipt seems to be taking more like 2 - 4 weeks. In some cases, no AOR is issued at all and the first you hear in sponsor approval.

As regards linking to a MyCIC account, I don't know if this works prior to AOR, but in any event, please see attached link on how to go about it - it is a bit of an artform and often takes many days and combinations of data (it took me 23 attempts over several days before I succeeded!).
