We applied or PR in Jan Last Year we submitted application plus proof of funds bank stament. Everything Moved Smooth, We Have done the medicals, paid the lawyer, paid all fees but canada visa requested for proof of funds again. its been 1 month since we submitted proof of funds again. we also have paid permanent residence fee but still havent got any word concerning whether our application has been accepted. i find it a little odd because we have already paid permanent residence fee but no word. we are currently using a canadian lawyer, so what do you think is happening. its already been 3 months since we did medicals

They asked again for your POF due to obvious reasons that they had found some discrepancies in the previous one. From the day your latest POF went it CHC would be reworking on your file. And having got a BF'D for it, the VO is likely to review your file on that day, thus a bit of delay.

My guess... your PPR might just be on its way, give it a few days more & then shoot an email to your CHC.

All the best !

I think your lawyer will receive a communication from CHC soon. Why not ask your lawyer send a case specific inquiry. I would say wait till March end and if no communication is received then send a inquiry to high commission.

1. Related Abbreviations to this thread:
-POF = Proof Of Fund
-CHC = Canadian High Commission
-BF'D = Bring Forward Date
-VO = Visa Officer
-PPR = Passport Produce Request
-RPRF = Request for Permanent Resident Fee

2. No, if they ask for the RPRF, it doesn't mean u r 'approved'... it means u r 'provisionally' approved. There is a fine thin line.

It is very common for VO to ask for proof of funds again, especially if some time has elapsed since you sent the last one. Not to worry, I highly doubt that "they had found some discrepancies in the previous one" - Its just procedure.

I would also advise you that if it has been 3 months since you sent the medical, to do a case specific inquiry to get an accurate answer. Whats your visa office?
