Hello .. I am a PR of Canada effective march 2012 along with my wife and elder daughter. Had to come back to my home country (Pakistan) after getting our PR cards as had to complete my training here (anaesthetist) ... during this time I had another daughter (now 1 yr) born in Pakistan whom I would now like to take to canada with me as I plan to relocate in July-Aug this year. I have been advised to apply for a TRP for my daughter and sponsor her when we get there. Was just wondering what If I go to Canada alone, sponsor her from there and come back. and then leave together once everything gets done. I was told tht if the immigration ppl find out I m outside Canada after sponsoring my kid , they ll cancel the application. Wanted to know if thats a real possibility or that I may be able to pull it off without any hassle .. need advice.

Note : Cant leave my family in Pakistan for long due to the securty situation.

You must be living in Canada in order to sponsor your daughter. If you submit the application and then return home for an extended stay (i.e. more than a few weeks) then you should expect the sponsorship application to be canceled. So yes - this is a very real possibility.

Is your wife also PR like yourself? She can stay with your daughter so long as she can without jeopardizing her PR status. She would have to return to Canada at some point to maintain her PR status. You and your wife would have to leave your daughter with close family until the daughter gets her PR landing.
