My parents want to visit Canada ! There is a question in the application form asking for this thing. Do I need to mention the refusal ? They don't even remember the date. and It was refused more than 5 years ago. What should I write ?

I really want to write '' NO '', only if there is no way they can find it out .

Yes - you have to mention the US refusal.

Yes - there is a way for CIC to find out if you lie (the US and Canada share information).

If you lie and CIC finds out, CIC will likely make a finding of misrepresentation and ban your parents from Canada for 2 years. Once they have been charged with misrepresentation, it will make it even more difficult for them to be approved (even once the 2 year ban has passed).

Your call.
