My situation is: I am going to NY for 2 weeks with a friend, and, since we're both from Brazil, we were wondering how should we proceed in order to get our visas there. We wanted to spend a few days in Montreal and then head back to NY. The thing is, I don't know how much time it would take to get the visas and what sort of documents we would need. Plus I have family in the USA (NY and CT) and my uncle would be the one paying for the trip, so would a letter from him stating that he is the one financially responsible for us suffice as proof that we're able to pay for it?
