Need to attach Criminal history documents even after all the charges are withdrawn?

Hi everyone,

Just have a question regarding the criminal history when applying for Express Entry PR visa.
I had an unfortunate accident and end up getting 5 different charges in the past. All my charges are dropped completely with a peace bond and my RCMP results are clean now.

I was having a chat with my immigration lawyer when I was gathering up all the needed documentation, he said even if all the charges are withdrawn, I still need to submit all the related papers.

I agree that I need to submit a Letter of Explanation of Criminal history, and Peace bond paper, but he said I also need to submit the paper that states all the detailed info such as how my charges were made, appearance date details and etc.

What I am worried about is that this document includes some information that I do not prefer to show to immigration officers since they looked biased and just thinking this might even act negatively for the whole application.

in summary, do I still need to show the CIC this paper even if all my charges are dropped? is it absolutely necessary?

Thank you so much..!

It may not be clearly mentioned on the IRCC website nor on the personalized checklist, but attaching these documents shows a clear intent to make your application as genuine as it could be and it won't really hurt your chances since these charges have been dropped and your current records are clean. So , yes do attach all of what you mentioned if these documents are obtainable and can be crossed-checked and verified by IRCC meaning only official copies.
