Hi All,

I will be getting married in April 2025 and my fiancé lives outside Canada. I currently have my PR profile in the pool with 507 points and I am eligible for CEC. My WP expires in January 2026. I need suggestions on whether to complete my PR process (hoping I get an ITA before April) and then apply for spousal PR or withdraw my profile right now and create my profile after getting married, with my spouse as an accompanying dependent.

Some people also suggested that I should keep my profile in the EE pool and if I get an ITA before April, I can let IRCC know when my marital status changes while they're processing my PR. How much more time does it add to my PR processing timeline? since I want to bring her to Canada ASAP.

With the ongoing news of elections happening anytime soon, I am worried if I should risk my PR or not.

Please leave your suggestions, Thanks.
