Need some guidance to apply for visa under university category .....

I got accepted in University(Masters) for Jan 2015 session and my profile is

IELTS 7.5
B.tech 7.16/10
12th 69 % (PCM 60 %)
10th 87 %

One year work experience

now i have some questions
1 . low marks in PCM can cause problem for me ?
2 . Do i need to give some explanation in my SOP about my low marks in PCM ? I studied Biology along with Mathematics in 12th class Do i need to explain why I studied Biology ?
3 . Is this mandatory that my funds in the bank to be 4 months old or i can show that there is regular transfer (in-out) of money from my account ?
4 . My brother is in canada (on work permit applied for PR) , will it cause weakening of my case ?

12th marks may not cause problem as long as u have good Btech grade.

no dont explain 12 ....write about Btech
3 . Is this mandatory that my funds in the bank to be 4 months old or i can show that there is regular transfer (in-out) of money from my account ?
u should have required money for 4 months it could go up and down a bit but overall u account shouldnt be zero and suddenly getting money.
4 . My brother is in canada (on work permit applied for PR) , will it cause weakening of my case ?
never know but chances r that ur family ties r a little weak but it all depends on ur over all profile,ur luck, ur case etc

3. Under University category, preferred option is GIC or educational loan.
4. No if you have good academic profile.

You can apply at the most 3 months in advance.

but one of my friends applied 5 months in advance , got visa and he even migrated to canada in May , his study will start in september ?

3 months is a standard time for all kind of visa applications (inside/outside Canada).
