Hi guys,

I'm going to take IELTS Exams on 30th april, I' just now started the process of applying for ECA. I have not created my express entry profile yet, so even if i select the highest ielts score in CRS tool im getting 441. So i think i will be able to apply only after may, so what i want to know is what things can i get ready before starting the application process for EE or OINP

You can start collating all documentary proofs mentioned in this application guide which you think may take time http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_CAPITAL.html

Start saving money into one account that you will show as proof of funds. If you already have one
then its a huge positive. Everything else is explainable when u get it at 11th hour but POF could be trickier to explain.

Apply for USA pcc if you need one. They are taking forever these days.

Above points just from personal experiences.

Good luck !

If you have never lived in the US for 6 months or more in the last 10 years, you do not need an FBI PCC- that was just general advice given to you, since FBI PCC processing can take over four months these days.

Thats why Mancunian said "If you need one".

1. Try getting Roles and responsibilities letter from your previous employer(If Applicable), you can get the same letter from your current Employer post ITA.
2. Accumulate Funds on the name of Primary Applicant(I assume it to be you), While applying for PR to CIC after ITA you will need to show proof of funds, minimum Amount to be shown depends upon family(Spouse and Children only) composition accompanying you to Canada. as a proof of fund you will need to submit Bank Letter, and 6 Month account statement.

@Aragorn...

Why would you say last 5 years ? Isn't the PCC needed for places u lived in last 10 years or after you turned 18 for 6 or more months ?

Was that just a typo ? ;D ;D

No, the right of nominee is secondary to the holder of the financial instrument. Here the financial instrument is in the name of your father and you are the nominee, so your claim to the amount is secondary and will not be considered as POF. The.The financial proofs will have to be in the name of the primary applicant.

Get it transferred to your name ASAP, Only the Funds on the name of Primary Applicant or accompanying partner can be accounted for this(Nominations doesn't matter to CIC).

Proof of Employment from previous Employer is valid throughout your career/life .
Where proof of employment from current employer should be obtained close to filing your application for PR. Be careful to choose the correct NOC and get the reference letter accordingly.

Stanlee and Manpreet thanks a lot for your help you guys are awesome, I've asked my father to transfer 7L in MY name ASAP. It would be great if you guys could tell me how long the POlice cetificate will be valid. also is there any particular format in which i should get the experience certificate from my previous employer?. will that format be accepted by both OINP and CIC?

PCC - If it is from a country which are currently residing, the validity is 6 months. If if is from any other country (stay more than 6 months) which you have left and not gone back, then the PCC obtained after the date of exit is valid indefinitely (unless you go back again).

Reference Letter - There is no standard format, but it should basically cover the points mentioned in the below format (on company letter head).

This is in line with the requirement that has been mentioned in the OINP Application Guide (http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_CAPITAL.html).
