Need opinion on visitor visa form

Hi,

My mother once applied for a U.S visa and her application was refused that she did not have sufficient fund. They gave her one letter which she has lost somewhere.

Now, i am applying for her a super visa in canada [I am a canadian citizen]. While filling out her visa application, there is a question "have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave canada or any other country = yes / no"

I am not sure whether i should select yes here because her application of U.S was rejected? Also, if i say yes, we don't have a embassy paper to show the reason it was rejected.

Can someone advise on this.

Yes, you should answer yes for her.

The letter does not have to be presented, you can simply explain the circumstances in the provided box.
