Need new passport while awaiting OINP decision

Apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere but I couldn't find an answer when I searched. I've sent in my application to Ontario for a provincial nomination and am waiting to hear back. I have almost two years left on my passport but no empty pages so need to apply for a new one soon as I have some travel coming up that requires a full-page visa. My question is, if I get a new passport, will I have to start the PN application process over? Or does this count as a change of circumstance? Or can I just let the decision be made on the application I've sent on my current passport and just update CIC with the new passport number if I do get the nomination? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Two years left is plenty of time for OINP and EE. You don't need to renew it soon, assuming you can make your landing ASAP.
Yes if you renew it after OINP nomination you will need to inform CIC. But there's a good chance you can complete everything with this current passport.
