Hi All,

My husband is in Canada and is on student Visa till December,2017.I and my toddler son have got our visitor visa for the same duration.
Is it mandatory that my son also has to enter Canada before the Visa expires??Can we apply for his extension from India as we were thinking of keeping him in India till early next year with his grandparents and only I would be joining my hubby in Canada.

Need inputs on this.

Do not believe a visitor visa can be extended from outside Canada would need to apply for a new visitor visa once the current one has expired. Visitor visa extensions assume the applicant is already in Canada at the time of application. Others I expect will comment as well.
