Hi to every body in the Forum,
I am a new user of this forum, actually I am thinking of immigrating to Canada in skilled worker class, now I am in the first stage of filling out the simplified application my question is that my wife has not got a passport, can I send the application with out any passport no, caz i know that it will take up to 62 months, then she can get a passport on time.
Your assistance in this regard will be highly appreciated from your experiences

No dear, I believe that you should atleast have the passports for you and your wife. As Passport is always the first condition of applying for any visa.

Hamid,
I believe at the first stage passport is not necessary. You are applying for immigration and process takes multiple years to finish. At some later stage you will be required to provide passport at that time you will be needed to provide passports. I myself have applied without passports
Thanks

Dear softncool,
Thanks a lot for your prompt answer, god bless you, you saved my vogrant.
one thing more that I am worring about is that, I need 5 point for English proficency.I am afraid I would not be able to get it from IELTS, how should I evaluate my English profciency before applying. I can understan very well and have a rich vacublary but can not write and speak very well.and also if you could explain that do I and my wife need separate passport or one will be enough for all including my two kids.
Thanks in advance for you cooperation.

There are total 24 points for language. 16 for first language and 8 for second.
break up of points for first language will be 4+4+4+4 (reading+writting+listening+speaking). No matter if you are weak in speaking or writting, still you can get maximum points in other sections. Best way of proving your language skills is IELTS. I would suggest you to sit for IELTS. Even if you are able to get maximum marks in 2 sections your score will be more than 8 points which will be sufficient as you require 5 points.
Regards
