Need information about the so called "Can+" visa?

So I've heard about this new scheme called as Can+ for people who've visited Canada/US in the past. I have a US visa (Issued in Canada itself) for 10 years valid until 2022 and I've studied and worked in Canada(on a PGWP) until 2015. Next year I would like to go on a trip to Toronto so I was wondering if I can avail the program? I have a few doubts though.

1. According to the personal checklist I got on CIC, I don't need to submit any financial documents whatsoever. Just my Canadian visa and PGWP. Is that true?

2. Will CIC be suspicious that I want to visit Canada again after living there for such a long time? Obviously I only want to just visit.

I'd appreciate all your replies/thoughts.

Hi,

1. Although financial documents are not required, it is a risk to not prove your strong ties and your financial situation.

2. You must prove that you have reasons to return to your home country at the end of your visit

Thanks for answering. Do you think that they'll be extra suspicious because I'm planning to go back to Canada few years after I've lived there for 5 years? Also, will I be able to upload my financial documents on the online application portal despite the fact that it's not even required?

Why would the visa office be suspicious?

You must prove you are visiting for a finite length of time + prove you have reasons to go back

Yes, I would advise that you upload your financial documents to prove you have the funds to pay for your itinerary + airfare, etc
