Hi
I recently got PPR and planning to land in September.
I'm interested in BC, specifically Burnaby.
Is there anyone having some information about the city which I cannot find on internet.
How is living there like?
And the employment opportunities?
I hold an MBA degree and work as a college lecturer but flexible to change my profession.

It depends which area/building you want to live in the city. For example, if you live near the sky train, it would be noisy but convenient. Buildings are newer along the sky train / Lougheed highway corridor in the southern part of the city than the northern part which homes are mostly low rises and detached.

Thank you.
Is it a safe place to live?
And how about employment opportunities?

Yes, Burnaby is good but there is not much commute you should live near Surrey central.
I'm concerned about too many immigrants living in Surrey.

There are not much commute near Surrey central as well. If you want to commute much, then I would suggest downtown Vancouver near the Art Gallery which is within the crossroad of Millennium Line, Expo Line and Canada Line of the sky train network.

Burnaby is a huge place, see here:

https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Burnaby,+BC/@49.2379761,-122.9931899,13z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x548677a8219c8373:0xdd0a72738752b169!8m2!3d49.2488091!4d-122.9805104

there is no real central area, except for Metrotown, commuting is not as good as other cities. As Steaky said, around the Skytrain you will be fine, other areas you have to take the bus, sucks big time.

Lots of immigrants live here, well, anywhere actually. Mainly Chinese, Vietnamese and all the others!
