need information about family sponsorship cost

Hi I am new to this forum.
Please provide some details.
My sister sponsored me and my mom we got PR in this year January. We both came together but my mom didn't like to stay here so she went back to back home. I was staying with my sister unfortunately we got some foughts, So I left her.
now she is asking the sponsorship menoy 50K. I know who sponsor the family they don't need to pay anything to CIC the have to pay the CRA tax according to income. So please give a rough calculation how much she might spent for the sponsorship.

Depending on who paid for the medicals and police certificates, she would have spent less than $2,000.

FYI - She can't force you to leave. So if she threatens you with deportation or losing your PR status, ignore her.

what i said was per person so let's say $1500 to $2000 per person

but you need to understand the pain the has taken to maintain income to prove that she can support you folks

in my point of view what she has done to you can not be measured with money, it's love and wishing good for your family

family fights are short lived and should be resolved and not resolved with money

from you mother point of view she is correct, and its normal, mosts parents (coming from Asia) do not like to live in Canada, it's a Class # A prison for them.

She would pay the same amount in tax to CRA whether she'd sponsored you and your mother, or not sponsored anyone.
Tax is paid on income.
It sounds like she is angry, and it sounds like she's saying she should get money for everything she's spent on you and your mother,
for airplane tickets, food, clothing, a warm place to live, transportation and gifts.
I'm only guessing, but for her to say a large number like 50K she may be thinking of how much of her savings she feels she's had to spend
or how much effort she's put into getting PR for her family, and now it feels like it's all falling apart.

The actual fees paid for the application are only the amounts quoted above.
The costs of whether she's paid everything including airline tickets, that's a sarcrifice she made which you are not legally bound by the
Canadian government to repay to your sister, but you must think about what is fair, and she must think about what is actually possible.

It would be far better if you and your sister are able to reconcile as the previous poster said, and get past this difficult time.
Maybe you need to think whether you can help to stop the fights, is it really worth fighting about?
Emotionally she has paid far more than the value of the fees, and that is what hurts her now.

actually she spent almost 10 years, first she tried to sponsor 3 of us but CIC refused the sponsorship due to low income.
The she spent 5000$ for immigration lawyer for get the PR for mom and me. Unfortunately we got that now I am thinking why I got this nasty thing, I am saying about my bad luck.

She yelled lot on me that mostly about menoy. I spent this muchu.. this much but you are not helping me like that. Finally I said ok how much you spent for us I will give back I don't want to stay with you I am going to move somewhere next month what my sister husband did he took my things and thrown a side, that time I was paying my room rent $650. Then I didn't speak with her.
last month she spoke badly I moved that within an hour.

She sent a mail to me she wants $50000 sponsorship money other wise she is going to take a legal action to revoke my PR. Actually I don't want to stay in Canada. She thought lots. I just want to pay the money how much she really spent for us. If I pay that I will go back.

I am not going to keep any relationship with her. She is hurting lot I can't say in words.
But I don't want pay like a idiot , so please give a rough amount.

She can't revoke your PR. And a lawyer can't help her to revoke your PR. Only CIC can revoke your PR - but they won't. You obtained your PR status legally and there's no reason to revoke it. She can threaten all she wants - she's powerless.

Your PR status is yours to keep if you want it.

They did give you the amounts. No one knows if she used a lawyer more than once (did she use a lawyer the second time?), or how many medicals / plane tickets / shipping costs she incurred to bring your mother, you, and your belongings here.

If I was to guess, probably $7,000 on the failed try (between lawyer and CIC). Maybe another $2,000 for the successful try assuming no lawyer.

You'd stated she was charging you "rent" (or room and board). You may want to consider this if she does try to engage a lawyer to recover money. You were sponsored, she's actually responsible to pay for your expenses, if you cannot for several (2 I think?) years.. others please correct me here..

my friend jason, no one can take your PR, and you sister and may be her spouse have signed an agreement to support your family for 10 years, so legally she is has no point in going to court.

but you need to understand your sister's situation. she need to answer he spouse too, it's a delicate balance between two sides

at time someone could be harsh out of frustration, but please calm down and have it resolved within the family

just keep quite, and try to settle down in a job and she might be happy and things would get back in track
