Need info for canada PR

Hi

I have couple of question for applying Canadian PR .

1.Actually i am on H1 B visa in USA since 2004 and my wife is dependent and my son is American Citizen .I need to know whether i need to apply canadian PR for my son too or i need to apply only for me and my wife? I heard that US Citizn can legally stay in Canada with out any visa ?if so How long they can stay ?
2. we need to post the applications and req. docs at the same time? Is there any speed process for that ?
3.I need to do Education evaluation and police clearence for me and my wife too?
4.Do i need to get the police clearance from india or i need to go Indian Embassy in USA (Currently my wife is in India so i need to get police clearence for her in india ?

Can some one please answer my questions... Your Help is highly appreciated

1. You need to apply for PR for your son too. A US citizen can come to Canada as a tourist without a visa and stay for up to 6 months.

2. Are you applying for skilled worker because that application class is kind of on hold waiting for new rules right now. Alberta H1B program might work instead, see http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/campaigns/h1b.html

3. Yes, you both need police clearance.

4. Whatever is the easier way to get police clearance. She can do it there since she is there and you can do yours through the embassy.
