Visa Office can request your passport before or after ur case goes into processing...New Delhi requested my wifes passport before going into processing...so its 50-50 chance....

i have seen that people usually get their visa within one and half month after they send their passport. does new delhi count that from the day they send us passport request or when they receive the passport?
