Hi everyone,
Question 10 in the residency questionnaire says: "Where have all of your family members (e.g. spouse, common-law partner, children, mother, father, brothers and sisters) lived since your arrival date in Canada?" Then there's a table with the following items:
Family name, given name(s) Date of birth Relationship From (Year/Month/Day) To (Year/Month/Day) Country
-
-
-
-
-
-(space to write information about 6 persons)
How should I answer this question? Should I just write each person's name and the place he/she generally resides or should I attach a separate sheet of paper and write in full detail all the entries and exits of each family member?
In question 11, they ask "Since your arrival date in Canada, for each family member of your immediate family (e.g., spouse, common-law partner and children) provide legal citizenship/immigration status in the country they reside. Please include status in Canada (if no status, indicate N/A)." Question 11 makes it seem as though they only want to know the country where each family member generally resides in question 10 and not details of each person travel history. That's because they're asking for the "citizenship/immigration status in the country (singular) where they reside).
The reason I want to know how I should answer question 10 is that my son who's included in my citizenship application currently resides outside Canada and does not meet his permanent residency obligations. Therefore, I'm afraid that if I supply CIC with details of his travel history, they may calculate his days in Canada and find out that he does not meet his permanent residency obligations and possibly deny giving him (or both of us?) citizenship or flag him so that he gets reported the next time he tries to enter Canada.
Thank you very much
