Hi guys, i'm in need of your expertise on this NOC job code, due to the recent change of the CEC program, 6211 is no longer eligible.
However, i still want to apply for this, because my job is quite different, even though it's retail, it's not sales department.
My job tittle is Perpetual Inventory Manager, and i deal lots with computer system to ensure it order enough stock, and receive properly.
And i'm looking at other option i have for this is, NOC 0114, Other Administrative Service Manaers.

It will be up to the officer who reviews my case to determine it's the right NOC, is it right?
Please give me some of your thought on this.

thank you

You have to find the NOC according to your duties. Write up all your duties you perform
on a regular basis and then compare with the duties mentioned for NOC 0114. If they match,
you're good to go, however, if they don't can't apply simply because your job title sounds alike.

Also, please be aware that skill level 0 ( management positions ) usually require experience in the field
of work and it might raise a flag for the VO if an applicant who recently finished school works in a management
position right away, without experience at all.

I think this job NOC is for those job that not categorized in other job NOC. And i looked at the main duties already, there're about two that match.
And I graduated in 2012, and been in the supervisor position for a year before i took this job. So that should count as experience right?

thank you for your input

I would suggest that if only 2 job duties match, it's not a very good fit. But there's little else we can say without knowing your job duties or more about your work environment. You said "retail," but are you located in a retail outlet (store), or business office, or corporate headquarters...

Unfortunately, it's retail store, not head office.

give us the duties. Now it looks like 1524 (Class C)
So we have automated ordering system at my work place
And my job was to make sure everything go smoothly, like training department manager to use the system, make sure merchandise is ordering enough, and received correctly.

And yes 1524 sounds like the stuff that my department do, and i'm the department manager

It doesn't matter what your department does, what matters is the duties you perform.
So post a list of stuff you do. Like this

- item #1
- item #2
- ...

Post as many items as possible.

Okay, here it is
- Scanning the store for out of stock items -> generate reports -> investigate and solve any inventory issues
- Report to manager about inventory availability
- Overlooking receiving.
- Overlooking shrink, damage, thief, inventory transfer
- Execute new planogram (kinda like a map of how items should be display)
- Assist other department to maintain correct inventory
- Review and adjust any issues in sales forecasting, and computer ordering
- Hire and train staff in my department

That's pretty much it

So i have another question about this.
I'll probably go with my gut for this NOC. However, i'm facing a financial dilemma here. I want to add my wife to the application as well. And i'm afraid that if they denied it, i will lots 1K.
I heard that during the process, cic will send mail and ask me if i want to add any family member. Is it correct? Or it's just random?

thanks
