Hi, my husband and I are applying through EE (he is the principal applicant) but we're unsure of the correct NOC code for his current position. He is a Manager of Vendor Management at Amazon. He supervises a team of vendor managers for several product categories. The duties of NOC 0015 sound closer to his actual job, but we're worried that his position may not be senior enough for that NOC because there are 2 more levels above him (Category leader and General Manager). So maybe 0601 (Corporate Sales Manager) would be a better fit?
These are his duties and responsibilities at his job (if it matters this job requires an MBA):
· Develop and lead the vendor management strategy for several business categories
· Build strong relationships at a senior level with suppliers and facilitate discussions in order to drive profitable growth for several business categories
· Managing a team of Sr. Vendor Managers, Vendor managers, and brand specialists who own the P&L for their business categories
· Oversee relationships with suppliers and negotiation and re-negotiation of all the commercial, operational, and marketing terms
· Plan and execute initiatives to increase awareness and visibility for key brands and product launches
· Review annual marketing and sales plans and drive supplier engagement to participate in key events
· Coordinate in-depth analysis into strategic insight for each product / category, and definition of critical action path to achieve business goals (Top line, Profitability, Product Availability)
· Audit the performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency of each business / product category, and influence the Operations and Customer Service teams to drive improvements
· Liaise with the operations and inventory management teams to assist in decision making processes for managing stock and inventory efficiently
