Hi All;

I have been a PR in Canada for 6 months.I am with my husband and two kids.I want to apply for a visitor visa for my mom.She is a widow and I am her only daughter. Actually, this would be the third time to apply :(!!!I confess for being irrational, and have not searched or read about the rules or regulation of visa processing :(!!!First, I applied for her for a tourist visa in March 2015 and got rejected, because I did not submit all the details needed. Also I made a mistake by mentioning that I am immigrating soon.

As I mentioned before,I am all she got,so she waived everything to me.All the assets are under my name. So,I planned not to apply again until I settle in Canada ,but my sister in law convinced me to try again, but a visitors visa this time ,and mention that I own all the assets. She asked her elder sister whose already been here in Calgary for 5 years,to send to my mom an invitation letter too.We received a refusal letter in May 2015 stating the following:

1-Unknown purpose of visit
2- Not enough financial resources
3-No proof that my mom would return back home
4-Her family ties in Egypt balanced against ties in Canada

Before I came here I deposited an amount of money in her account ,and I gave her back an asset. Thus when we apply in future, she would have a proof of an asset.

I was too emotional and unwise :(!!!Therefore I am trying to be very careful this time.I am extremely worried that she gets rejected for family ties.So would you plz help me with ur suggestions in the following?

1-Would a plane ticket be a good idea to be given with the papers to show the return date?
2- How many days should I mention that she is gonna stay in the invitation letter ( a month or 45 days)?
3-She has a brother in Emirates, and I thought of asking him to send her an invitation,to show that her trip here has to end soon cuz she is gonna visit her brother?Would that be convincing?

Am sorry for my long msg.I hope I mentioned all the details needed to help u understand my case.Thank u for ur patience and I appreciate your help...

1. You could include a flight ticket but make sure it's refundable in case she is refused again.
2. I would go with three weeks.
3. I don't think this will help at all. I wouldn't bother.

The most important thing for her to demonstrate is that she has strong ties to Egypt. What evidence can you include apart from the bank account? Property ownership or rental documents? Proof of employment? Proof of business ownership? Anything like that? I don't think the bank account is nearly enough to show ties to her home country.

Hi Again :)!!!
Thank u for ur reply. My mom owns a small villa ,and she is going to represent the ownership document plus the total in the bank...She is not employed and she is 69 turning 70 soon.Would these two documents be enough?or we have to proof anything else for family ties?

Thanks Alot

Also I would like to ask about my side.I will submit the following:

1-Copies of my husband's and my PR
2-My husband's salary slip
3-My Husband's driver's license (is it worth it or no)Huh
4-We have checking accounts here in Canada, but savings accounts in Egypt, so do we present a bank statement of our checking accounts here,or it is better to send bank statements of our savings in Egypt? They r in dollars!!!!
5-Do I mention in the invitation letter that I will be financially responsible for all her expenses during her trip?or that she will be responsible??? Roll Eyes

Am sorry if am asking too much, but am under stress and I guess I will continue to be like that until I know if she gets accepted or not Embarrassed...

Thanks very much
