Need Help ---- want to bring parents on visit visa from india

Dear Thread Members,

I am new immigrant over here in winnipeg ( landed on sept'15 ). my wife is prengrent and i want to bring my parents over here to help her for 6 months. i just got Temporary job last week.

so can i apply for my parents visit visa based on my wife pregrency ? they will consider it ? if not what are the other ways to bring them over here with in next 2 months ? super visa ? my parents have 10 yrs multiple entry visa for US and visited twice.

how much balance i need to maintain in my account here in canada ? do i need to send any kind of invitation letter to them ? attestation required ?

lot of confusion...... pls if someone can help me out in this.

Hi,

You can apply for TRVs for your parents. You cannot apply for super visas because you do not meet LICO presently.

If you invite your parents to take care of your wife/newborn then it can result in TRV refusals..... because it shows their intention to work illegally on a TRV even if it is unpaid.

You can invite your parents for a visit of 1-1.5 months. They must prove they will return to India (property ownership, family, etc).

As you have recently started working, your parents must prove they have the finances to fully support their visit + to purchase flight tickets, etc

You must not have any large, recent deposits and none of the money should be borrowed.

Yes, you must send an invitation letter. Attestation is not required. PDF will suffice.

You must also provide copies of your passport + PR card + bank statement + employment proofs

Thanks a lot for detail information.

I will go for TRVs.

So it means i will send all require documents ( copies of passport + PR card + bank statement + employment proofs + Invitation Letter ) to them and they will apply it from india by their own or by hiring any agent. do i need to send Passport & PR card copies of my wife also ?

Hi,

You can also scan/send PDFs of your documents as their host.

In fact, you can prepare the documents yourself.... email it to them. They can print it off and submit it in person at the CVAC/VFS office. A travel agent will not do anything more than this. The other option is to apply online.

Do prepare their documents well, especially proving their strong ties to India. You can post the list of documents they will submit and I can suggest if anything is missing.

If you're applying under CAN+ then you must scan the entry/exit stamps for the US as part of their TRV applications. The visa form is the same as a regular TRV.

If your wife is the co-inviter then she must send copies of her passport and PR. You must also provide her details (point-wise) in the Invitation Letter/Cover Letters
