Need Help Urgently!!!

Hello to one and all. My name is Divya and I am new to this forum. I need quite a bit of help and that too on urgent basis.

I have completed my BBA + MBA (Dual) from Amity University, India and I specialise in Finance(major) and HR(minor). I am currently employed with a leading MNC and have 1 year of corporate experience. I am interested in going abroad for further studies to enhance my skills and also broaden my career prospects. My areas of interest include finance and accountancy and applied areas. I wish to enquire about the courses offered pertaining to the qualifications as well as the area of interest mentioned above. I am also looking at PR.

My first choice is accountancy and next best choice is banking and investment. I will give my IELTS in January.

The following are my questions:
1. Am I eligible to do a further study in finance since I have already done a postgrad in it?
2. Does banking and investment fall under the umbrella of finance?
3. What is the kind of study I will pursue? Basically what is the name of the degree to be pursued?
4. Are community colleges and government colleges the same or there are some differences?
5. What are the chances of PR being given to students?

Please guide me as to how should I approach this problem. Thank you in advance for your valuable guidance.

well u have a masters so logical progression of ur studies will be phd

3. What is the kind of study I will pursue? Basically what is the name of the degree to be pursued?
u should atleast look for a masters degree or higher.....anything below masters is risky for visa.
4. Are community colleges and government colleges the same or there are some differences?
try to avoid colleges since ur masters go for masters or Phd in a university.
5. What are the chances of PR being given to students?
there r different PR programs and u will have to read about them to see which one u would fall under. there are various federal programs as well as PNP . there is a big change coming jan 2015 which is called express entry 2015 u should read about that too to get more insight. I dont think there r any PR programs for students but again i am not sure.

i would echo mead in this case u can apply for Masters in Finance but if u opt for a college highly unlikely that you would secure a visa !! and before express entry masters and phD students could directly file for a PR now it isnt clear anymore !!!

well like i said anything below masters is risky for visa but u can chooses what ever u want. i am sure the advise not to go for phd is given to u by agents( agents get commission from college to send u to pg diploma/diploma/cert etc)? u can always try for masters....again its ur choice u can choose graduate cert etc too...... people have got visa in the past but its a risk...
