Why do you say WES is terrible?

I am also thinking about sending my documents to either one of these bodies so if you can tell me what negative experience you had with wes?

WES might have been OK when they weren't experiencing backlogs in May or something. Just read through the appalling reviews on consumeraffairs.com website (just google WES and consumer affairs to get the link)
All my degrees (bachelor's and master's) are from the US. My university had to send them THREE sets of transcripts -- WES kept claiming that they never received them. They are taking far too long to process applicants and their customer service is abysmal. It's next to impossible to speak to anyone on the phone. You hardly ever hear any responses to your emails. I would definitely look into the first two organizations below before committing yourself to WES. If, for some reason, you decide to go for WES, I can give you other tips on WES.

Designated organizations for Educational Credential Assessments
You can arrange to get your assessment from:

Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
World Education Services
Medical Council of Canada (professional body)
Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (professional body)

Thanks Suresh for the detailed reply!

Yes, I am now convinced to send my docx to ICAS perhaps.

But the only negative review i've had about them is that they take more than two months. That's awful lot of time.

What do you suggest, should I go for their services?

CES might be worth looking into as well. Here's what I what posted on another link regarding WES:
1) If you received your ECA through WES Canada and had a smooth experience, you are lucky and in the minority.
2) If you obtained your ECA through WES Canada after having a nightmare experience (like I did), I suggest you email consumeraffairs.com (just google consumeraffairs and WES to get the link and read the horrible reviews), WES' licensing organization, NACES and the Better Business Bureau, and Mariam Assefa (massefa @ wes.org), CEO and Executive Director of WES, and voice your dissatisfaction. No organization should be allowed to get away with charging consumers $299.45 and provide such pathetic level of service.
3) If you have not yet applied for your ECA, I highly recommend you consider using the other designated organizations for ECAs (Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and International Credential Assessment Service of Canada) before committing yourself to WES Canada.
4) If you applied for your ECA through WES Canada and are still struggling to receive it, here are a few suggestions:
a) call/email the Regional Directors to help you with your file although Kevin Kamal, Regional Director for WES Canada is utterly a useless guy who never responds to emails or messages left in his voice mail. His direct number is 1-416-972-0070 x5225, email: kkamal @ wes.org
Other Regional Directors are:
Indira Marte imarte @ wes.org 1-212-219-7303, Jack Nelson jnelson @ wes.org 1-212-219-7335, Lorinda Grogg lgrogg @ wes.org 1-312-222-0336, Mary Beth Sowa msowa @ wes.org 1-202-331-2928
b) email the Credential Evaluators directly instead of (or in addition to) emailing supportca @ wes.org and contactca @ wes.org
Credential Evaluators seem to be mostly at WES New York. Most have only 1-2 years of experience with WES and don't seem to know what they are doing. Perhaps the evaluations are done by them in New York after documents are received/scanned by someone called Maple at WES Canada in Toronto. What Kevin Kamal does is a total enigma. Try emailing the following Credential Evaluators directly
Aditi Kadakia (akadakia @ wes.org), Nishaat Shafi (nshafi @ wes.org), Jing Sun (jsun @ wes.org), Zhenzen Yang (zyang @ wes.org), Alexa Tyler Bordner abordner@wes.org, Daniel Swann (dswann @ wes.org), Kayoko Tsujimoto (ktsujimoto @ wes.org), Katia Qianqiao Hua khua@wes.org
If you end up using WES Canada, I suggest you ask your university to send your transcripts in a sealed envelop to you as well as directly to WES Canada and then you forward the sealed transcripts to WES Canada together with copies of your diplomas. If you just rely on your university to send the transcripts to WES Canada, you have no control over the process and WES Canada can keep claiming that they've never received them.
